Broken hand, I think not...

Today AJ fell down, as she does most days. To say that she is not gracefull would be speaking politely.

The child is a walking disaster.

Aaron and I have repeatedly wondered if she should just wear her bike helmet ALWAYS.

Along with be a spaz, she is quite emotional as well. The slightest speck of blood and you would think she has severed an entire limb. She panics immediately.

When she fell today, I was not with her. She got a pretty good little cut on her palm, although she cried she didn't tell anybody she had a cut. It wasn't until Grammy asked to hold her hand as they were walking that 2 bloody hands appeared. Of course at that point she lost her composure, AJ not grammy!

When I picked her up from her Grammy she told me she broke her hand and that now she had to suck her other thumb.

Janelle this is where Lou's thumb sucking cure would not work for AJ. :)

All evening she has held her hand very lame. We have however learned that she is quite ambidextrous.

Take a look at my pitiful little peanut...

I am just that weird...

7000 diapers for twins in the first year.

7000

That is SEVEN THOUSAND.

7 followed by THREE zeroes.

Really?

Yikes.

That is 3500 diapers per baby.

That is 583.33 diapers per month.

That is 134.62 diapers per week.

That is 19.2 diapers per day.

That is .80 diapers per hour.

That is a lot of diaper changes.

Today I found diapers ON SALE at TARGET.

ON SALE I TELL YA!

$9 for 112 size 1 diapers.

That is 8 cents a piece people. In case you don't know the average price of diapers that is DIRT CHEAP LIKE PRACTICALLY FREE.

And so I purchased a few.

624 diapers to be exact.

336 size 1.

288 size 2.

By my calculations that is enough diapers for precisely 32.5 days.

$58.86 for 1 month of diapers brings the daily diaper expense to $1.96.

Maybe I should go buy more????

Growing Pains...

When did my almost 7 year old grow so fast that his Dad keeps putting my shirts and hoodies in his closet?

Every time I can't find a shirt I wander into JP's room and there it is put away neatly in the closet.

Can my baby really be getting THAT big?

Rain rain go away!

For 7 years I have been planning very special birthday parties for my boy. Intensely planned very unique parties to reflect my son's personality.

The first birthday was a construction/tool party in our unfinished basement.

The second birthday was an outdoor "handprint" party with gorgeous warm weather.

The third birthday was a super fun carnival party for 6 birthday kids with sunshine and warm weather.

The fourth birthday was a rootin tootin western party for 4 birthday kids on the first weekend in April with sunshine and cool spring warmth.

The fifth birthday was a dinosaur party complete with digging for fossils on a beautiful sunny day in our yard.

The sixth birthday was a pirate adventure complete with homemade pirate ship clubhouse. The party is where the luck of the weather ran out. The day ended up being perfect weather, but only after we delayed the party one whole day at the last minute.

The seventh birthday is to be a super soccer party at the soccer field/park.

Enter problems.

We have been having EXTREME rain. So immediately I am concerned we won't be able to use field.

THEN the weather forecast has now changed. We were looking at 60's and sunny friday and saturday hopefully allowing for plenty of drying out time.

NOW the forecast says Saturday high of 46 and 30% chance of rain, not to mention the field may or may not have standing water still.

Now my major predicament...do I take the gamble or should I call everyone and tell them to come to our house?

It is right about now I am kicking myself for not just putting the rain plan on the invite. I am also just kicking myself for not overriding JP and MAKING him do the fun INDOOR wheels party with his 2 best buds.

any advice ladies???

Cuz I am just cool like that...

So I saw this incredible diaper bag on Janelle's blog and since I am all about helping my friends check things off their lists, I too entered the contest. So go check it out!

See the beauty of it is that if I win I can give the super cute styling bag to Janelle. By the time R is born Lil Poppy will be 6 months old and we all know that the 3rd baby by 6 months old travels with no such thing as a diaper bag. A six month old third baby only gets its diaper changed maybe twice a day, right? So that being the case, she can totally lend me the super cute diaper bag for R.

Fun, huh?

One week...

I am amazed how something so tiny can completely rock a world.

I have spent the past week sneezing every 2.7 seconds with a force grand enough to knock down a small block village. Not to mention the number of tissues I have gone through.

Oh and the nausea. I really don't remember the nausea with the other two babies. I feel fortunate to not actually be getting sick, but the nausea is enough to leave me on the couch.

And the naps are good and necessary. If you call between 3pm and 5pm there is a good chance the ringing will wake me from a droolin' stupor on my couch. Don't worry I have my own droolin' pillow that is not a regular deco pillow.

I have always had the desire to have a cute little pregnant bump, but usually a bit into the pregnancy I see that is not going to happen. Shocking how just almost 2 weeks since I found out and I do believe I can put all hopes of that little dream right out the window.

That is right people.

In 1 week.

1 week I tell ya.

I have seriously gained 3 pounds.

Now in my defense my doctor does not have you take your shoes off and this week I was wearing boots as opposed to open back flats.

Surely the 3 pound difference was in the shoes?

Right?
