Month 3...

Seriously could my babies really be 3 months old?!
3 whole months...
Amazing still.

Little Guy
You are the sweetest little guy. You have intense eyes that tell amazing stories. You are the serious one. The one we have to work at to get a smile. When you flash your smile it is the most adorable grin. At 11 1/2 weeks you weighed only 7lbs 5 ounces, not even 2 pounds growth from birth. Dr. W decided it was time to put you exclusively on high calorie formula, but you had a different plan. You refuse to take a bottle feeding from mommy unless I nurse you first, so I nurse you and then you take a 2 ounce bottle of formula. You are eating every 3 hours and clearly the double feeding is making a difference. At 12 weeks you really started smiling a lot more. We think the now that you have found your appetite that you are now "awake". You now love tummy time and have really strengthened your neck muscles. You love chewing on your fists, especially if you are hungry or have just eaten. This week you found your feet and loved pulling them up. Monday you laughed and told Daddy stories. Today at 13 weeks and 2 days you weighed 8lbs 2 ounces and 21 3/4 inches. Awesome! You are still the skinniest baby I have ever seen! You are in the 10th percentile for height and not on the chart for weight. Your charts are based on a 2 month old, since you were born 3 weeks early.

Big Guy
(blogger is being wonky)

Big Guy you have a sparkle in your eye and a smile on your face, always. You have become quite the slobber monster. You love chewing on your fists. You are a strong little guy who loves sitting in your bumbo, just watching the chaos in our house. Your tongue is always out! Always. You love listening to your big brother read to you. You are sweet to tolerate your big sis smothering you. You had your first public blowout January 24th at you bog brother's Pinewood Derby. You poo pooed right down your leg and all the way down my leg. This just after your brother spit up all over me. This past week has been a rough one for you. You had your first cold which turned out to be RSV. You have been quite a trooper. We have been doing saline drops, suctioning, vaporizers, and keeping you upright. You have missed your brother because we have had to keep you separate. It is the first time you guys have slept separate. Thankfully we have avoided hospitalization. You are strong. Your growth has slowed a bit, at 11 1/2 weeks you weighed 9lbs. Today you weighed 9lbs 6 ounces 21 3/4 inches. Although your head looks bigger than Little Guy, they are actually the same. You are in the 10th percentile for both height and weight, also for a 2 month old.

Two Smirks at the Same Time...AMAZING!

Little Guy's Smirk...Big Guy's Focus just before a huge smile.

Jen, I love the updates so much! You are doing a great job describing the boys. It almost feels like I am right there with you guys. But I'm not. :( They look so healthy and happy. Good job, Mama.

I'm sorry about Big Guy's RSV. Unfortunately, I know several little ones that have had it this winter. It's been tough!

I would offer some extra hands for help but we've been sick again here! UGH.

Hang in there!

I mentioned to you that my friend Ginger just had twins (boy/girl) born on Dec 3rd. She also has a little girl that will be 3 in a few weeks. She is a sweet, Christian girl that I met at church in FW. I know she would love to connect with another mom of twins, just a few weeks apart in age! To locate her, go to my blog and on my sidebar, my friends are listed. Just click on Ginger.

Hi Jennifer,
Haven't seen you at MOPS or the YMCA lately. Just wanted to make sure y'all are ok. Are the babies healthy?

Hope all is well!
