My Little Monkey...

This morning we were having a lazy morning, so I had not dressed the twins yet.

Little Guy was "eating" a banana while wondering around the kitchen area when he wandered over to the coat closet and said,"Oo Oo Ah HA, yah" while pointing and shaking his head yes.

Translation..."I want my monkey hat."

After he got his hat on he proceeded to tell me "Shuuz". He wanted his shoes on too.

He was truly my little monkey, wandering around the house with a banana. Silly Boy!

Christmas Card Teaser...

For this year's Christmas card I decided to head over to some place that has been important to me throughout the years. Fortunately it has that urban cool look that is so incredibly popular right now.

TRACTOR...

Big Guy has a love of all things with wheels. His absolute favorite is a tractor. His normally husky voice turns into a high pitched squeal when he sees a tractor.

Gymnastics Exhibition...

This past weekend my favorite girl had her gymnastics exhibition. Unfortunately I had to miss it because I was with my favorite 9 year old at a soccer tournament. I am sure that with 4 kiddos, it will be the first of many times that Husband and I will have to split up for sporting events.

AJ did great and Daddy did a good job fixing hair. Special thanks to Janelle for taking pictures of my girl.

Cannelloni...

Tonight we tried this awesome recipe.

It was tasty, easy, and full of flavor!

Ingredients:
1 pkg Egg Roll Wrappers
1 pound ground beef/turkey
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pkg (10oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed
1/2 tsp italian herb seasoning
1 cup shredded cheese (i used colby jack)
sauce:
1 15oz can tomato sauce
1/2 cup of dry red or white wine (i used cooking sherry)
1/2 tsp italian herb seasoning
Brown beef with onion and garlic in a skillet. Discard excess water/fat. Add spinach and italian seasoning, mix well. Let mixture cool. Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl. Pour half of the sauce into a 9x13 baking pan. For each canneloni, spoon 1/3 cup meat mixture at one end of the wrap, roll wrapper around filling, and place the seam side down in pan. Pou remaining sauce over top, be sure to coat all the ends of the wraps. cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with the cheese (i used more than 1 cup) return to oven and bake 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted.
*I found this recipe on the back of the package of my egg roll wraps. Nasoya Egg Roll Wraps.

French Loaf...

One of my favorite recipes is The French Loaf.

I grew up eating this easy and tasty meal.

Ingredients:
1 Bakery French Loaf
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1 can tomato soup
1 pound browned ground hamburger/ turkey

Cut a piece of tinfoil long enough to warp around the loaf. Slice loaf lengthwise with the top being smaller. Scoop out bread pieces from bottom to create a 'boat'. Reserve bread pieces.

Simmer both soups, meat, and 1/2 to 3/4 of torn up bread pieces. Once combined and warm, spoon mixture into the 'boat'. Top with the bread top and wrap in tin foil.

Cook at 350 for about 10-15 minutes depending on desired crunchiness. My husband does not prefer much crunch.

Slice and serve. This is a HUGE favorite in our house. Enjoy.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

It is November 10th.

So if you are anything like me, you already have 7 large trees decorated and the stockings hung from the chimney with care.

Next on my Christmas to-do list is the Christmas Card. ILOVECHRISTMASCARDS!

Every day in December I RUN to the mailbox like a giddy child, anticipating how many Christmas cards will be inside.

Year after year my favorite cards are always ordered at Shutterfly. While I have made MANY Shutterfly books, I had yet to make any cards. This is the year. How could I not, their site is so easy to use and there are hundreds of choices to make that perfect card. Their prices are incredibly reasonable as well, cards starting at just $0.32. Plus if you are a new customer you can receive 50 free 4x6 prints! What a deal.

Don't forget that holiday party you were thinking about hosting. Why not send out a gorgeous invite? Shutterfly even has holiday invitations. Prices start at just $1.03 for classy invites. They will be the talk of the party for sure.

While you are on Shutterfly you might as well combine your shipping and get Grandma that ornament of the kids that is sure to bring a huge smile to her face. They have amazing ornaments starting at just $12.79

I LOVE THIS NEW CARD THAT INCORPORATES THE FAMILY LETTER AND PHOTO ALL IN ONE CARD. WHAT A TIMESAVER.

THIS IS ALSO A GREAT CHOICE BECAUSE SO OFTEN I CAN'T JUST SETTLE ON ONE PHOTO.

I LOVE THE RETRO COLORING HERE.

So what are you waiting for? There are only 55 days till Christmas and only 34 days till December 14th, the optimal Christmas card mailing day. Happy creating!

Big Guy

Score...

AJ has had a wonderful soccer season. She has shown that she can hang right up there with the boys. She is fast and uses her head. She seems to be more of an offensive player than a defensive player, as she scored several goals this season.

Saturday was The Yellow Stars last game. AJ complained right as they took the field that she wasn't sure she felt good, but it sure did not show in her playing. She had a great game. She accepted a pass right in front of the goal and fired it in for a score. It was as if she had been told play middle forward. She was precisely where she needed to be for what would be a quite normal play in the big kid games. It was awesome!

Then in the second half she had a throw in down on the goal line that she threw in towards the goal, hit a kid in the head, and then the ball went straight into the goal. It was funny! She thought that was just the coolest.

It has been the best season watching her grow to love the sport. We are so proud of you AJ!

My little neat freak...

As I was putting groceries away yesterday I heard my little tin of ornament hooks spill in the living room. Followed by a "Uh-oh" and the pitter patter of little feet running across the room. Then there was the dragging of the toy vacuum.

Little Guy was trying hard to vacuum up the mess with his toy vac. I love that boy!
